In the space below are visible: the historical monthly diagram of the S&P 500 stock index from the beginning of the provided indicator, the weekly chart of the last 10 years and the daily chart for the last year, with the economic indicator M2V. Velocity of M2 Money Stock in the US is at a current level of 1.425, down from 1.442 last quarter and down from 1.464 one year ago. This is a change of -1.18% from last quarter and -2.66% from one year ago. In America, Japan and the Eurozone velocity has continued to decline since the financial crisis in 2008. Thus, US, Japan and Eurozone money velocity, measured as the nominal GDP to M2 ratio, has declined from 1.94x, 0.7x and 1.29x respectively in 1Q98 to 1.5x, 0.55x and 1.05x in 2Q15 (see Figure 3). Simply defined, the velocity of money is a measure of the economic activity of a nation. It looks at how many times a unit of currency ($1 in the case of the United States) flows through the economy and is used by the various members of a society. All else equal, the faster money travels In this chart we show the inflation adjusted housing prices from 1970 through 2013. During the 40 years from 1971 to 2011 housing prices appreciated an average of 4.81% a year, and interest rates averaged 8.85%. In this chart of the real return on mortgage rates we can see the historical rates since 1972. United States's Money Supply M2 increased 5.1 % YoY in Jul 2019, compared with a growth of 4.7 % in the previous month. United States's Money Supply M2 growth data is updated monthly, available from Jan 1960 to Jul 2019. The data reached an all-time high of 13.8 % in Feb 1976 and a record low of 0.2 % in Mar 1993.

In this chart we show the inflation adjusted housing prices from 1970 through 2013. During the 40 years from 1971 to 2011 housing prices appreciated an average of 4.81% a year, and interest rates averaged 8.85%. In this chart of the real return on mortgage rates we can see the historical rates since 1972.
